My name is James Strong, I’m a PhD Candidate in the International Relations department at the LSE. My research looks at the public debate in Britain during the build-up to the invasion of Iraq. This blog is where I talk about public opinion, and try to thrash out my ideas about the way the powerful actors in society routinely use information about what ordinary people think to further their own ends, all the while dismissing the substantive value of those same thoughts.
